Bridging the gap between mental and premenstrual health
The Gia Allemand Foundation (formerly NAPMDD) is a not-for-profit organization providing peer support, education, research, and resources for those affected by Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (or PMDD) and female suicidal ideation. We aim to improve the quality of women's lives through awareness, education, outreach, and recovery.
Gia had a love for people, a very special heart, a motivation to help those in need. She always wanted to help those around her, instead of doing what was necessary to help herself. After a long battle with depression and PMDD, Gia felt the only way to freedom was by taking her own life.
